ATS Event: Mapping Resilience - Using Life Course Trajectories to Navigate Trauma

By registration; Designed for the broader ATS membership, this webinar will introduce the life course trajectory tool and how it can be used to enhance a school's theological formation needs. The conversation will feature Beverne Cordner, of Hartford International University for Religion and Peace, and Brian Clark, of the Spiritual Life Center, moderated by David Wang, of Fuller Theological Seminary. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with the life course trajectory tool relative to their own lives and how they may have been affected by trauma, as well as how the tool can be used at their respective institutions. The interviewers will then examine personal cases of how spirituality impacts capacities to navigate trauma.
In connection with the Disrupting Trauma Conference, a collaboration between ATS and McCormick Theological Seminary, this webinar is the second in a larger series that is exploring the power and promise of theological formation.

ATS Event: 2026 Entering Student Questionnaire Webinar

By registration; This free webinar highlights key findings from the 2026 preliminary Entering Student Questionnaire. Topics include background contexts of matriculants, demographic trends, vocational plans, and influences for enrolling in a theological school program.
This data-driven presentation is designed for student service administrators, faculty, educational support staff, board members, and researchers interested in graduate theological education. Staff who are considering or presently coordinating any ATS Student Questionnaires are especially welcome.

Imaginarium 2026
We were pleased to host our inaugural Imaginarium at the Amoris Christi Campus, a 5-acre retreat center in Delray Beach, FL. The event brought together 31 participants representing a cross-section of all our cooperating organizations and more. The event spanned 3 days and provided a dedicated space to discuss the shifting landscape of theological education by sharing institutional struggles and insights.
The program featured keynote sessions from Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Deasy, Director of Institutional Initiatives at the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), who presented data on changing student and university demographics and the future of theological education. Dr. Sunil Nadarajan (Amoris Christi) led a session on healing the imagination and Dr. Sue Gallagher (FCTS Board Member and Chief Innovation Officer at the Children’s Services Council of Broward County) contextualized theological education within South Florida. In response to widespread interest, the final day shifted focus toward artificial intelligence, featuring theological perspectives from Rev. Tim Cusick, Vice-Rector and Academic Dean of St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary, on relevant church documents alongside practical institutional applications delivered by Chadd Feyas, an instructional designer from Florida Atlantic University.
